Helen Anthony LFW AW ’25 ‘Gemini Collection’ distinctive and powerful classic tailoring with contrasts that celebrate contemporary style.
Helen Anthony presented its captivating LFW AW25 Catwalk at The Londoner Hotel Ballroom in Leicester Square, London during London Fashion Week (LFW). The Helen Anthony Winter 2025-26 Ready-to-Wear collection was one of my favourites on show during LFW, a stunning collection by master tailor, its Creative Director and Founder, Naeem Anthony. Naeem founded his brand Helen Anthony in 2015. I have believed in his vision and ethos and have loved covering him since he first showed at London Fashion Week in September 2021. He has been showing during LFW ever since.
This season’s ‘Gemini Collection’ maintains the designer’s bold signature style throughout with a fresh approach. Inspired by the twin personalities of Gemini, the collection was a celebration of duality while merging nature’s beauty. The brand’s core values of craftsmanship, innovation, and diversity are apparent while embracing the contrasts and freedom that define it’s creative spirit. At the heart of this collection lies a deep appreciation for contrast with two opposing yet complementary forces within each piece, reflecting the balance between tradition and modernity, structure and fluidity. This interplay of duality is brought to life with a vibrant flare. Refined textures, meticulously tailored distinctive silhouettes, and intricate detailing were brought together to create garments that tell a dramatic story.
I always love the playful use of plaid in the Helen Anthony collections. Plaid has represented styles from heritage and tradition, to youthful rebellion. From it’s Scottish roots, plaid has been embraced by various subcultures, symbolizing individuality. It had been used extensively as well by two of my other favourite designers Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood.
This season the Helen Anthony Collection embodied strength and individuality with the power shoulder long coats, jackets, suits along with mini-skirts, maxi-skirts, tops, trousers, shorts and dresses. The styling was perfectly matched to each outfit with big hair, big glasses and mega-big bags. Faux-fur was present throughout. The faux-fur garments and accessories in various patterns were ultra luxe. Fabrics and workmanship were of a very high quality. There were long sensuous maxi-dresses with stunning embellishments, as well as the original use of crochet on knitwear. Craftsmanship is the foundation of Helen Anthony’s design philosophy, and this collection proudly showcases meticulously hand-knitted pieces made from locally sourced British yarn, fully traceable through innovative scanning technology that connects customers to the very farms where the fibers originate. Luxurious British fabrics, such as cashmere and wool, enhance the collection’s richness, while hand-embroidered details add an artisanal touch. The overall look of the collection was very powerful and had a creative avant-garde feel to it, resulting in a disruptive fusion of classic tailoring and strong creative contemporary style. It is not surprising therefore that Naeem has a celebrity following and has dressed celebrities such Rita Ora, Kendall Jenne and Cara Delevingne amongst others. The Helen Anthony brand remains unmistakable, sustainable, ethical and inclusive. This collection was profuse with man-made materials like sustainable fur reimagining luxury with responsibility. This innovative approach ensures that every design not only captivates but also aligns with the brand’s dedication to creating a better future for fashion.
The Helen Anthony brand recently opened its flagship store on Conduit Street, Mayfair. The three-story flagship serves as a hub for creativity, offering customers an immersive experience that highlights the brand’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and innovation.
