Barrus returns to London Fashion Week with a collection inspired by the ancient Greek city of Ephesus, once a thriving metropolis of art, architecture and culture. This collection showcases the brand’s commitment to contemporary couture, masterfully balancing structured silhouettes with flowing drapery that reflect the grandeur and duality of Ephesus. The commanding presence of its iconic columns is echoed in the designs, complemented by the soft, sculptural folds reminiscent of classical Greco-Roman garments.

The catwalk opened with an electronic sunrise, symbolizing the awakening of a new age at Barrus and marking the brand’s increasing shift towards sustainability. This season, the collection is composed of at least 60% certified, preferred, or deadstock materials, emphasizing Barrus’ dedication to ethical fashion.

Continuing with the signature philosophy of merging heritage with modernity, this season’s Barrus collection features luxurious fabrics adorned with intricate hand-beaded crystals, metallic embroidery and layered textures. Recycled materials, ethically sourced Bursa silk, delicate French lace and gossamer-light tulle are prevalent throughout the collection.
The glamour of this ancient world is beautifully represented in structured column gowns, corseted waistlines, asymmetrical one-shoulder drapes and goddess-like flowing silhouettes. Highlights include empire line diaphanous gowns, elongated flowing sleeves, large bows, textured marble effect prints, fluid chiffons and layered tulles that evoke the elegance of ancient Ephesus.
The colour palette is soft and ethereal featuring greens, golden yellows, twilight lilacs and ivory shades that mirror the natural beauty of Ephesus at dawn and dusk.

Each piece has a contemporary feel and is a tribute to the timeless elegance and rich history of this ancient city.
This season, Barrus invites you to experience the fusion of past and present, where every garment tells a story of artistry, sustainability and the enduring allure of Ephesus.
